Nissan is committing a substantial £170 million ($230 million) investment into its Sunderland manufacturing facility to commence production of the Kicks, a compact crossover that has achieved significant global sales of 1.8 million units but has not been officially introduced to the European market until now.

The Kicks will incorporate Nissan's advanced third-generation E-Power hybrid system, destined for customers across the UK, Europe, and Turkey.
