Lotus has introduced a series of significant updates to its high-performance electric sports sedan, the Emeya, and its electric SUV, the Eletre. These 2026 models feature state-of-the-art infotainment systems, refined styling elements, and a formidable electric powertrain generating over 900 horsepower, reaffirming Lotus's dedication to exceptional automotive engineering.

While renowned for producing engaging driver's cars, Lotus continues to evolve its electric lineup. The 2026 Chinese variants of the Emeya and Eletre will sport distinct black badges, building on updates previously announced for the UK versions. A notable upgrade across the Eletre range is the inclusion of 22-inch, 10-spoke ultralight alloy wheels. While the 600 and 600 SE models retain their existing 6-piston fixed front and floating rear brake calipers, the premium 900 version receives an advanced 10-piston, carbon-ceramic braking system, designed to manage the vehicle's immense speed with precision and durability. Both the Eletre and Emeya 900 models are powered by a 675 kW (approximately 915 hp) dual-motor system, enabling them to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under 3.0 seconds. The Eletre reaches an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph, while the Emeya achieves 160 mph. Even the 600 models offer robust performance with 405 kW (around 600 hp) electric motors, achieving 0-60 mph times in the mid-4 second range.

Inside the cabin, the Emeya and Eletre largely maintain their existing luxurious designs, with enhanced features across various trims. The 600 models now come standard with 12-way power-adjustable front seats, complete with heating and ventilation, alongside a 15-speaker KEF audio system. The 600 SE further elevates comfort and convenience with a PDLC smart panoramic sunroof, 20-way power-adjustable front seats, a front seat massage function, and active rear-wheel steering. The top-tier 900 model incorporates an intelligent, active anti-roll control suspension system, ensuring superior handling and ride comfort. Pricing for these updated Lotus EVs in China begins at 538,000 yuan (approximately 74,800 USD) and can exceed 838,000 yuan (around 116,500 USD) for the premium Eletre 900 SUV. All models are equipped with a two-speed transmission and a 112 kWh battery (102 kWh in the UK), offering a driving range of up to 610 km (approximately 375 miles) per charge.
