Kia Introduces Three New Electric GT Models: EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT

Kia is broadening its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of three new high-performance GT models: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT, all of which are now available for purchase. This expansion builds on the success of previous GT offerings like the EV6 GT, which debuted in 2022 as Kia's most potent production vehicle, and the three-row EV9 GT, added in late 2024. The new lineup aims to democratize the "GT experience" by offering electric performance across various segments, including a sleek fastback, compact, and mid-size SUVs. This strategic move ensures that a high-performance electric option is available for virtually every customer preference.
These new electric GT vehicles are engineered for superior driving dynamics, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system complemented by an electronically controlled suspension designed to enhance handling, responsiveness, and overall performance. A unique aspect of these models is Kia's innovative Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design systems, which work in tandem to mimic the auditory and tactile sensations of a traditional internal combustion engine sports car, providing an engaging driving experience. Each GT model also boasts distinctive design elements, such as Kia’s signature neon-green brake calipers, 20-inch alloy wheels, GT-exclusive semi-bucket sports seats, a dedicated GT steering wheel, and a bespoke digital interface, reinforcing their high-performance identity. The EV3 GT delivers 288 hp, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, while the EV4 GT hatchback achieves the same speed in 5.6 seconds. The EV5 GT, noted for its versatility, offers 301 hp and a 0-62 mph time of 6.2 seconds. All three models are equipped with an 81.4 kWh battery, providing impressive WLTP driving ranges: up to 295 miles for the EV5 GT, 333 miles for the EV4 GT fastback, and 311 miles for the EV3 GT.
With these new additions, Kia is solidifying its position in the electric performance segment, making advanced electric vehicle technology and exhilarating driving experiences accessible to a broader customer base. The pricing for these models in Germany starts at €53,990 for the EV3 GT, €57,840 for the EV4 GT, and €59,990 for the EV5 GT, positioning them competitively within the electric GT market. While some models like the EV4 GT and EV5 GT will not be available in the US, the EV3 GT is set to launch there, starting at $45,890 with an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles, indicating Kia’s commitment to electrifying diverse markets. This strategic expansion not only showcases Kia's engineering prowess but also its dedication to sustainability and innovation, offering consumers powerful, stylish, and eco-friendly driving options.
The introduction of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT represents a significant leap forward in making high-performance electric vehicles widely available. By combining advanced technology with distinctive design and competitive pricing, Kia is empowering more individuals to embrace the future of mobility. This commitment to innovation and accessibility reflects a forward-thinking approach, paving the way for a more sustainable and exhilarating automotive landscape for everyone.
