Chevrolet Corvette 2027 Models See Price Hike

Chevrolet has announced an across-the-board price increase of $300 for all 2027 Corvette models, a change already implemented on the brand's online configurator. This adjustment affects the entire range, from the entry-level Stingray to the top-tier ZR1X, bringing the starting price of the Stingray to $73,795, including destination charges. This marks a slight uptick from the previously announced $73,495 in June. General Motors has a history of making such price modifications within a model year for the Corvette line.
2027 Chevrolet Corvette Lineup Sees Price Adjustments and New Enhancements
General Motors (GM) has confirmed a $300 price increase across all trim levels of the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette, effective immediately. This change applies to every variant, from the foundational Stingray to the high-performance Z06 and ZR1 models, with the revised pricing now appearing on Chevrolet's official "Build and Price" website. For instance, the Corvette Stingray's starting price is now $73,795, which includes the destination fee. This adjustment aligns with past practices where GM has recalibrated Corvette pricing throughout the model year.
Beyond the pricing update, the 2027 Corvette lineup introduces significant upgrades and new additions. The Stingray model will feature a new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine, producing 535 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque, replacing the previous 6.2-liter V8. A notable addition is the Grand Sport, which will share this new engine but incorporate wider bodywork and enhanced braking systems derived from the Z06, promising a more aggressive stance and improved performance capabilities. The model range now spans from the accessible Stingray to the formidable 1,250-hp ZR1X. Even the base 1LT trim offers a suite of premium standard features, including an eight-way power driver's seat, leather upholstery, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, wireless phone charging, and a removable roof panel on coupe versions. Additionally, certain high-performance models, such as the Z06 and ZR1X, will incur a Gas-Guzzler Tax, with an extra $2,600 for the standard models and $3,000 for the Z06 equipped with the Carbon Aero package.
The recent price adjustment for the 2027 Corvette models underscores the ongoing dynamics of the automotive market, where factors like production costs and market demand influence vehicle pricing. While a $300 increase may seem modest, it reflects the continuous evolution of a highly sought-after sports car. For enthusiasts and potential buyers, it highlights the importance of staying informed about pricing shifts and package options, especially with the introduction of new engines and trim levels. The Corvette remains a symbol of performance and luxury, and these strategic adjustments ensure its competitive edge in a constantly changing landscape.
