Stellantis Appoints New CEOs for Jeep and Ram Brands Amidst Strategic Reorganization

Charting a New Course: Stellantis' Strategic Leadership Shift
New Leadership Takes the Reins at Ram Brand
Matt VanDyke has been named the Chief Executive Officer of the Ram brand, with his appointment effective immediately. He succeeds Tim Kuniskis, who has been managing dual responsibilities since his promotion last year to a broader North American leadership role within Stellantis, overseeing marketing and retail strategies. Kuniskis will maintain his overarching North American position, and VanDyke will report directly to him, focusing solely on the development and performance of the Ram brand.
Jeep Brand Welcomes a New CEO
The Jeep brand is also undergoing a leadership transition, with Branden Coté stepping into the CEO role starting August 3rd. Coté replaces Bob Broderdorf, who is taking a medical leave of absence. Stellantis has confirmed that Broderdorf will return to a different executive capacity within the organization once he is able. Like VanDyke, Coté will report to Tim Kuniskis, ensuring a streamlined reporting structure within the North American operations.
Filosa's Vision for Stellantis' Executive Team
These appointments are integral to CEO Antonio Filosa's ongoing efforts to restructure and fortify Stellantis' executive ranks. Since assuming the CEO position in 2025 following Carlos Tavares' departure, Filosa has been systematically retooling the company's management structure. The selection of VanDyke and Coté, both seasoned automotive executives, is expected to bring fresh perspectives and renewed vigor to the crucial North American market.
Veteran Expertise to Drive Brand Growth
Matt VanDyke brings over two decades of extensive experience in the automotive sector, having held significant leadership roles across various domains including marketing, sales, product planning, and motorsports. Branden Coté also boasts a rich background in the industry, making both individuals well-equipped to guide their respective brands. Their appointments are poised to provide strong, dedicated leadership for some of Stellantis' most vital and profitable brands in the North American market.
Critical Juncture for Ram and Jeep
These leadership changes arrive at a pivotal moment for both Ram and Jeep. Ram is preparing for a significant expansion of its product lineup with new offerings, while Jeep is intensely focused on reversing recent sales declines and reinforcing its product portfolio. By entrusting daily brand leadership to these new CEOs, Kuniskis can concentrate more broadly on shaping Stellantis' overarching North American strategy, optimizing the company's strategic direction and operational efficiency.
