Final Toyota GR Supra MkV Auctioned for Charity

Toyota North America has announced the donation of the very last fifth-generation GR Supra produced to Reach Out WorldWide, the esteemed disaster-relief charity founded by the late Paul Walker in 2010. This singular vehicle represents a unique culmination of the MkV Supra’s production, destined for auction to support a noble cause.
The highly anticipated sale will take place at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, scheduled from January 23 to January 31, 2027, at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Notably, the entirety of the hammer price from this auction will directly benefit the charity, with no deductions for fees. This specific Supra is distinguished by a commemorative Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) ending in 99999, an exclusive Phantom Gray exterior finish, and a special signature from Akio Toyoda, utilizing his racing pseudonym, Morizo. Powering this special edition is the familiar turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, delivering 382 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It also inherits the advanced hardware of the Final Edition, including enhanced Brembo brakes and a finely tuned suspension system.
The decision to donate the ultimate MkV Supra to charity brings its story full circle, mirroring the charitable auction of the very first global production MkV Supra in January 2019, which fetched an impressive $2.1 million. While it remains to be seen if this final model will surpass that figure, its unique status and philanthropic purpose are expected to attract significant collector interest. The partnership between the Walker family, Barrett-Jackson, and Reach Out WorldWide has a long history of successful charity vehicle sales, emphasizing the organization's critical work in mobilizing volunteers and resources for communities impacted by natural disasters. Before its main event in Scottsdale, the car will make a special preview appearance at Barrett-Jackson's 2026 Las Vegas Auction, offering enthusiasts an early glimpse of this significant vehicle.
This gesture by Toyota provides a meaningful conclusion to the MkV Supra's legacy, demonstrating a commitment to giving back while also creating a valuable collector's item. It serves as a reminder that automotive passion can extend beyond performance and aesthetics, contributing to greater societal good. Such initiatives not only highlight corporate social responsibility but also inspire a positive spirit within the automotive community, showcasing how iconic vehicles can be catalysts for positive change and support humanitarian efforts globally.
