This year, it will also feature a downtown cruise night on Friday and a "Coffee and Cars" gathering at Starbucks on Sunday morning. All proceeds from the car show will benefit two local causes: a teenage girl recovering from meningitis and a mother battling metastatic breast cancer. One beneficiary is a 14-year-old student from Norfolk who was airlifted to Omaha Children's Hospital after being diagnosed with meningitis. She spent over a month in hospital care and rehabilitation but remains an active member of her high school dance team. The second cause involves a dedicated mother of two from Meadow Grove, who manages a Dollar General store despite her ongoing battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Jorgensen expressed pride in how the event has grown since its inception. What sets Norfolk's car show apart from others in the Midwest is its unwavering focus on community support. Unlike other events, the Norfolk car show clearly communicates where the funds are directed. This transparency has helped attract participants from six states outside Nebraska, including Wisconsin, which is the farthest distance traveled by a participant this year. Enthusiasts from Iowa, South Dakota, and Missouri will also join the festivities, bringing along classic vehicles like a 1966 Ford F-250 from Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

A significant factor contributing to the success of the car show is the strong backing of local businesses. Jorgensen acknowledged the invaluable support from downtown shops and Norfolk businesses, some of which have contributed items for gift bags or allowed the use of their facilities. The Downtown Coffee Company, for instance, has permitted the organizers to set up in front of its premises. Moreover, the farmers market will coincide with the early part of the car show, offering attendees another attraction to enjoy.
