Audi Offers Significant Incentives for EV Lease Buyouts, Up to $10,000 Off

Audi is introducing attractive incentives, offering up to $10,000 off the purchase price, to encourage current lessees of its E-tron electric vehicles to retain their cars after their lease agreements conclude. This strategic move, detailed in a recent bulletin to dealerships, seeks to boost ownership among existing EV drivers.
Audi's Attractive EV Buyout Program
Audi has rolled out an enticing program designed to encourage current electric vehicle leaseholders to purchase their cars at the end of their lease periods. This initiative, communicated through a nationwide dealer bulletin, provides significant discounts on various E-tron models. The top-tier incentive of $10,000 is exclusively available for the Audi E-tron GT, making it a particularly appealing option for those driving this premium EV.
Lessees of other Audi electric models, such as the Q8 E-tron and the Q4 E-tron, are also eligible for considerable savings, with discounts of $5,000 and $4,000, respectively. These incentives are a continuation of a program that began in July 2026, with the Q4 E-tron's discount recently increasing from $3,000, further demonstrating Audi's commitment to encouraging EV ownership. Notably, the A6 E-tron is not yet part of this program, as its leases have not reached maturity.
Navigating Market Dynamics and Ownership Opportunities
This buyout program is strategically timed, especially given the recent market trends affecting electric vehicle values. Secondhand values for Audi E-tron models have experienced significant depreciation, with some vehicles losing as much as half their original value within a couple of years. This market dynamic positions the current buyout offer as a potentially very advantageous proposition for lessees.
For instance, it is now possible to find three-year-old E-tron GTs with low mileage priced under $50,000 in the used car market. Depending on a lessee's initial buyout price, Audi's new discount could make purchasing their current vehicle an exceptionally cost-effective choice. While the allure of leasing a new car every three years is strong for many consumers, these substantial discounts present a compelling reason to reconsider and potentially own a current Audi EV at a highly reduced rate. The program is set to conclude at the end of September, urging eligible E-tron owners to act swiftly.
