AI Innovators Secure Major Investment to Transform Workplace Support
In a significant development for the AI industry, Harmony, a burgeoning startup, announced on July 28, 2026, the successful completion of a $34 million seed funding round. The investment was led by Lightspeed, a venture capital firm with a history of backing the founders' previous successful enterprise. Harmony was co-founded by Nitzan Shapira (CEO) and Ran Ribenzaft (CTO), who are no strangers to entrepreneurial success, having previously sold their cloud software monitoring company, Epsagon, to Cisco in 2021 for a remarkable $500 million. This new venture aims to leverage artificial intelligence to overhaul the way employees interact with IT and HR services.
Harmony's innovative platform is designed to operate seamlessly within popular communication tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams. Its core functionality involves automating responses to common workplace requests, ranging from employee onboarding processes and software access provision to password resets. By doing so, Harmony seeks to eliminate the tedious process of employees navigating complex internal systems or enduring lengthy waits for assistance from technical support or human resources departments. The company proudly states that its system is compatible with over 100 applications and possesses the capability to customize its responses based on an employee's specific role and access permissions. Furthermore, businesses retain the option to mandate human approval for certain AI-driven actions, ensuring a balance between automation and human oversight. Current clients utilizing Harmony's services include n8n, a workflow automation firm; eToro, an investing application; Cyera, a cybersecurity startup; and Kith, a fashion retailer.
The substantial size of this seed round, notably larger than typical initial investments, reflects strong investor confidence in Harmony's vision and its experienced leadership team. Shapira articulated his ambition for Harmony to evolve into a far larger entity compared to their previous venture, indicating a long-term strategy beyond an early acquisition. Other prominent investors in this round included Hitachi Ventures, Fin Capital, Mercer Ventures, and Operator Partners. The freshly secured capital will be strategically allocated to expand Harmony's engineering, product development, and sales divisions. The company currently maintains a workforce of 60 employees, with approximately two-thirds based in Israel and the remainder situated in New York.
This venture underscores a growing trend in the technology sector: leveraging advanced AI to enhance operational efficiency and improve employee experience. The founders' proven track record and the significant capital raised position Harmony to become a key player in the evolving landscape of enterprise service management. Their focus on proactive problem-solving and immediate support via AI-powered solutions could redefine how organizations manage internal requests, ultimately freeing up valuable human resources for more complex and strategic tasks.
