The more potent 208-hp and upcoming GTI versions will utilize a 52 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery, extending the range to an estimated 282 miles and allowing for faster charging at up to 105 kilowatts. These range figures, based on the European WLTP test cycle, would likely be adjusted downwards if assessed under EPA standards. The interior emphasizes simplicity and user-friendliness, incorporating a prominent 13.0-inch touchscreen, a 10.0-inch digital gauge cluster, and a welcome return to physical controls for climate and audio, a direct response to customer feedback.

The ID. Polo comes with a suite of standard safety features, including blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist, with options for adaptive cruise control, a rearview camera, and front cross-traffic assist.
