The introduction of the new electric buses is projected to serve approximately 16,000 passengers daily, fundamentally transforming the daily commute into an eco-friendlier journey. This initial fleet expansion is expected to result in a reduction of nearly 6,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. This figure represents a substantial 55.6% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions when compared to the university's previous diesel-powered services.
