The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch took the initiative to visit Elite Auto Affairs to understand how this show will directly benefit Oklahomans. Chad Detwiler, the president and CEO of Recovering Oklahomans After Disaster, emphasized the importance of the event."We work with a wide range of agencies, from case management to those that fund building materials. Our organization provides the labor, with professional contractors serving as project managers. We also host volunteer teams from across the country, and we have a vocational training program for labor to teach construction while helping families at no cost to them," Detwiler explained. The goal of the car show is to give families hope in rebuilding their homes. In Oklahoma, it's not uncommon to be responding to a new disaster while still recovering from a previous one. This constant cycle of assistance is what drives the need for events like this. By coming together and supporting the show, people are contributing to the long-term recovery of Oklahoma communities.

Making a Lasting Impact: Beyond the Show

The impact of this car show extends far beyond the event itself. It serves as a reminder that in times of crisis, the community can come together and make a difference. The funds raised from the show will go towards rebuilding homes and providing support to those in need.It also showcases the resilience of the Oklahoma people. Despite the challenges they face, they continue to persevere and rebuild their lives.
