Norris Emphasizes Driver Adaptability for F1 2026 Regulations

He stated that the ability to adapt is a fundamental requirement for a Formula 1 driver, considering the substantial remuneration they receive. According to Norris, a driver's role is to proficiently operate any car, regardless of its performance characteristics or handling complexity.
Norris himself encountered challenges during the initial phase of the 2025 season, particularly in extracting maximum performance from his McLaren during qualifying sessions. However, through continuous technical and driving style adjustments, he managed to regain his competitive edge in the championship race. He argues that better drivers will consistently find ways to gain an edge, emphasizing that most corners still present opportunities for skillful maneuvering.
