Plews & Edelmann has unveiled its latest advancement, the Edelmann Elite Remote Reservoirs, a brand-new series of power steering fluid containers crafted as direct replacements.
A primary factor contributing to the early failure of newly installed power steering pumps is the circulation of contaminated or aerated fluid from an existing reservoir. This new product line directly addresses this vulnerability. Each reservoir is engineered with integrated filtration technology, effectively capturing impurities before they can reach the pump. Furthermore, their robust, sealed construction is built to endure extreme temperatures and pressures, while their precise factory specifications ensure a perfect fit with the original vehicle configuration.
Anthony Holguin, Director of Category Management at Plews & Edelmann, emphasized the often-underestimated role of the reservoir. He noted that despite its seemingly simple nature, a neglected, contaminated reservoir with a clogged screen can significantly shorten the lifespan of a new pump, even when other components like hoses and racks are replaced. By providing an Elite reservoir with advanced filtration and a resilient housing, the company aims to guarantee clean fluid delivery from the moment a vehicle hits the road.
These innovative Edelmann Elite Remote Reservoirs, identified by part numbers 5500RR through 5511RR, are compatible with numerous late-model vehicles from leading brands such as Acura, Honda, Infiniti, Lexus, Subaru, and Toyota, collectively serving a market of approximately 9.3 million vehicles.
