Marc Philipp Gemballa Unveils Marsien GT: A Road-Legal 959 Homage

Marc Philipp Gemballa has introduced the Marsien GT, the latest creation from the brand, presenting a street-legal adaptation of their renowned Marsien off-road supercar. Building upon the foundation of a 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S, this exclusive model boasts a formidable 830 horsepower, delivered by a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine meticulously enhanced by RUF. The company plans to produce only 30 units of the Marsien GT, with conversion costs beginning at approximately $888,660, not including the essential donor vehicle.
The Marsien GT distinguishes itself with a design clearly inspired by the iconic Porsche 959. Its exterior, crafted entirely from carbon fiber, features significant modifications compared to its predecessor, the original Marsien. Only the doors and roof panels remain from the initial design, with the latter now incorporating a specialized scoop for intercooler ventilation. Further enhancements include a centrally positioned fuel cap on the bonnet, active louvers on the front fenders, and an adjustable rear wing, all contributing to its unique aesthetic and aerodynamic profile. The suspension system, re-engineered for optimal road performance rather than challenging terrain, features a lower ride height of just under four inches. This setup utilizes unequal-length control arms, specifically developed for the Marsien GT, complemented by electronically adjustable dampers that continuously fine-tune compression and rebound forces for superior handling.
At its heart, the Marsien GT is propelled by a flat-six engine, refined by RUF, generating an impressive 830 horsepower and 603 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain enables the vehicle to achieve a claimed 0-60 mph acceleration in a mere 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 205 mph, performance figures that are optimized with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For those seeking even greater power, Marc Philipp Gemballa is actively developing an upgraded version of this engine, projected to exceed 900 horsepower. The Marsien GT is even more exclusive than its off-road counterpart, with only 30 examples planned, bringing the total Marsien production to 70 vehicles globally. This exclusivity, combined with its high-performance specifications and distinctive design, positions the Marsien GT as a highly coveted vehicle for collectors and driving enthusiasts alike.
The Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien GT exemplifies the fusion of classic automotive inspiration with contemporary engineering prowess. It stands as a testament to innovation and dedication, offering a thrilling driving experience rooted in a rich heritage yet boldly looking to the future of high-performance vehicles. This vehicle not only celebrates the legacy of iconic designs but also pushes the boundaries of automotive customization and performance, inspiring continued excellence within the industry.
