Details of the PRS Silver Sky Defender Color Collection Unveiled
The collaboration has resulted in eight unique finishes for the Silver Sky Defender Color Collection, distributed across two distinct guitar lines: the premium US-made models and the more accessible SE models. Each line boasts specific characteristics, including production quantities and hardware details.
The US-made Silver Sky guitars feature four classic Defender colors: Arles Blue, Willow Green, Portofino Red, and Sandglow Yellow. These models are distinguished by their pristine white pickguards, matching control knobs, and headstocks painted to correspond with the body. Production of these US-made instruments is strictly limited to 500 units per color, totaling 2,000 guitars across the entire range. Each limited-edition guitar is housed in a robust hard case emblazoned with the iconic Defender wordmark and includes a neck plate detailing its specific color.
Conversely, the SE Silver Sky series embraces a modern palette, offering four contemporary Defender shades: Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey, and Woolstone Green. Notably, these SE models introduce black pickguards and control knobs, a first for any Silver Sky model, according to PRS. While not limited in total production number, orders for the SE models will cease in mid-2027. They come equipped with a Defender-logo neck plate and a collaborative PRS/Defender gig bag, rather than a hard case, making them more distinguishable from their US-made counterparts at a glance.
