While newer charging providers are integrating roughly equal numbers of CCS and NACS connectors, a significant portion of the existing infrastructure still predominantly supports CCS. Given that almost all new EVs sold today are equipped with a native NACS port, operators who are slow to adopt NACS connectors risk a competitive disadvantage.

Reliability of charging infrastructure has also seen a modest improvement, with the average US fast-charging reliability score rising from 93.6 in Q1 to 93.8 in Q2.
