Infiniti is strategically postponing the release of its high-performance QX80 Red Sport SUV, extending its development by approximately a year. This decision stems from a desire to create a more formidable competitor against luxury performance giants like Mercedes-AMG and BMW M. The company acknowledges that a simple increase in horsepower is insufficient for the discerning market; instead, a holistic engineering approach is required. The revised development will encompass significant upgrades to suspension, braking, and exterior styling, ensuring the vehicle offers a comprehensive high-performance package that transcends mere straight-line speed.
