A New Era, a Familiar Tradition

The Red Hot Car Show has been a staple in the Fulton County community for 28 years, drawing thousands of attendees from near and far. This year, the event is under new leadership, with the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce taking over the reins from the Blacktop Cruisers Car Club. This transition, however, is not a departure from the show's rich history, but rather an opportunity to build upon the strong foundation laid by the previous organizers."The Blacktop Cruisers Car Club determined they were no longer able to host the car show, and knowing we already have a team dedicated to hosting the Chili Cook-Off, asked us if we would be willing to host the car show as well," explained Jillian Smith, the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. "It was a no-brainer for the Chamber Board of Directors, who acknowledged the popularity of the event and impact the event makes on the Fulton County community."The Chamber's involvement ensures the continuation of this beloved tradition, with the added benefit of leveraging the organization's resources and expertise to enhance the overall experience for attendees.

Visitors can expect to be captivated by a diverse array of vehicles, ranging from vintage classics to modern marvels. From sleek sports cars to rugged pickup trucks, each vehicle on display will tell a unique story, reflecting the passion and dedication of its owner."Between the two events, this is Fulton County's largest single-day event, drawing more than 8,000 attendees," said Smith. "Similar to the Chili Cook-Off, we hope they enjoy the display of cars, music and ambiance of downtown Rochester on a beautiful autumn day."The show will feature a variety of award categories, including Best of Show Car/Truck, Best of Show Motorcycle, Mayor's Choice, Sheriff's Choice, Fire Chief's Choice, Police Chief's Choice, and a club participation award. These accolades not only recognize the exceptional vehicles but also the pride and dedication of their owners.

A Vibrant Automotive Marketplace

In addition to the captivating car displays, the Red Hot Car Show will also feature a bustling swap meet, providing a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to browse and acquire rare parts, accessories, and automotive memorabilia. This vibrant marketplace will be located at the intersection of Main Street and Fourth Street, with space limited to the first 40 vendors."The car club has been great to work with," Smith added. "They have shared resources and supplies and their knowledge ensures the car show continues to be successful."The swap meet, combined with the impressive array of vehicles on display, will create a dynamic and engaging environment for attendees, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among car enthusiasts.

A Celebration of Automotive Passion

The Red Hot Car Show is more than just a display of automobiles; it's a celebration of the passion and dedication that drives car enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned collector, a casual admirer, or simply someone who appreciates the artistry and engineering behind these magnificent machines, the event promises to offer something for everyone."We hope they enjoy the display of cars, music and ambiance of downtown Rochester on a beautiful autumn day," said Smith, capturing the essence of the event. As the 28th edition of the Red Hot Car Show approaches, the Fulton County community is gearing up for a day filled with the roar of engines, the gleam of chrome, and the shared love of all things automotive.
