After completing her college education, she worked tirelessly to carve out a place for herself in the aviation industry, starting as a flight attendant and eventually earning her civilian pilot's license."When I learned that I can be a civilian pilot, I was all in," Sanchez shared with KBTX. "I've just kind of dove head in first and picked up everything that I can learn from everyone."As a civilian pilot, Sanchez is a flight instrument instructor and a multi-engine instructor with Delta Whiskey Hotel Aero Club. Her experience as a flight attendant has also proven invaluable, as it has allowed her to expand her network and connect with more people in the aviation community."Whenever I'm working, I'm working with different people all the time... When they find out that I'm on my flight journey, then they connect me with other people or they send me students to start flying with," Sanchez explained. "That's been a huge help, as well, being a flight attendant."

Sanchez's journey has inspired her to give back to the aviation community and the world at large. She has founded a business called Pilot Juliet, with the goal of creating a scholarship fund for first-generation female pilots. Her passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation of aviators is palpable."I want to be able to help... I want someone else to feel like they have a chance to do something more," Sanchez said.
