Tuy nhiên, khi xét lũy kế doanh số của 8 tháng đầu năm, Toyota Vios đã thành công quay trở lại vị trí số 1 của phân khúc sedan hạng B, với tổng cộng 6.970 xe được tiêu thụ. Hyundai Accent tụt xuống vị trí thứ 2, với doanh số đạt 6.910 chiếc.

Trong năm 2023, Hyundai Accent vượt qua Vios và bán chạy nhất phân khúc sedan hạng B, với tổng cộng 17.452 xe được tiêu thụ. Trong những tháng đầu năm 2024, mẫu xe Hàn Quốc vẫn duy trì được vị thế dẫn đầu. Tuy nhiên, Toyota Vios dần thu hẹp khoảng cách, sau khi được hãng xe Nhật Bản điều chỉnh giá niêm yết giảm 21-47 triệu đồng vào tháng 3. Cuối tháng 5, Hyundai Accent được nâng cấp lên thế hệ mới, nhưng dường như sức hút lại không lớn như kỳ vọng của nhà sản xuất.

Chương Trình Khuyến Mại Giúp Vios Bứt Phá

Một trong những yếu tố tạo cơ hội bứt phá cho Toyota Vios (từ tháng 7) là chương trình khuyến mại từ nhà sản xuất. Vài tháng gần đây, mẫu xe này thường xuyên được hãng hỗ trợ 50% lệ phí trước bạ. Sang tháng 9, Nhà nước ban hành chính sách giảm 50% lệ phí trước bạ cho các dòng xe sản xuất, lắp ráp trong nước. Thế nhưng, Toyota Việt Nam vẫn tiếp tục duy trì khuyến mại của Vios, giúp người dùng hưởng ưu đãi "kép" lên tới 100% lệ phí trước bạ khi mua mẫu xe này. Trong khi đó, Hyundai Accent không có khuyến mại từ nhà sản xuất trong tháng 9, và các đại lý cũng chỉ có chương trình riêng nhưng không đáng kể, khi so với Vios.

Mazda2 Gây Chú Ý Với Sức Tiêu Thụ Tăng Trưởng

Ngoài cuộc đua tranh ngôi vị số 1 ở phân khúc sedan hạng B giữa Toyota Vios và Hyundai Accent, Mazda2 cũng gây chú ý ở tháng 8 khi là sản phẩm duy nhất tại nhóm xe này ghi nhận sức tiêu thụ tăng trưởng dương. Cụ thể, doanh số của mẫu xe này đạt 442 xe, tăng nhẹ 17 chiếc so với tháng 7. Kết quả này giúp Mazda2 thăng hạng, vượt qua Honda City. Tuy nhiên, khi xét doanh số cộng dồn 8 tháng đầu năm 2024, City vẫn đang là sản phẩm bán chạy thứ 3 ở phân khúc sedan hạng B. Sang tháng 9, Honda City được hãng xe Nhật điều chỉnh giá niêm yết giảm 40-60 triệu đồng tùy phiên bản, hứa hẹn cải thiện được sức tiêu thụ trong những tháng cuối năm.

Vị trí của 2 mẫu xe còn lại trong phân khúc không có gì thay đổi. Kia Soluto tiếp tục là sản phẩm kém hút khách nhất ở phân khúc sedan hạng B, sau khi Suzuki Ciaz bị ngừng phân phối. "We've got a couple of international internships that are going to happen this coming spring in New Zealand and Malaysia, so I help to facilitate those and help get students paid for the work that they do."

He has recently taken on the task of founding a writer's workshop called Avid Writers' Collective, where writers can come together to critique each other's work in a supportive and collaborative environment."It's a lot like what I used to do in the classroom," Donnelly says. "I like this because there are no grades and it's a little more freeform and casual."

Drawing from his own experiences in international relations, literature, and now career services, Donnelly encourages students to explore the subjects that ignite their curiosity and passion."You don't have to do the thing that you studied in your graduate degree," Donnelly advises.
