Strategic Partnerships Fueling Expansion

In May, the fried chicken giant unveiled its innovative EV charging hub at its Savannah restaurant, situated at 4401 Ogeechee Road. This ambitious project is the result of a collaborative effort with XLR8 America, an EV charger specialist, and Energy and Environmental Design Services, which was responsible for the installation and ongoing maintenance of the charging infrastructure.

Capitalizing on the 'Charge-and-Dine' Trend

Bojangles is strategically embracing the burgeoning 'charge-and-dine' model. The Savannah site serves as the blueprint for what the company envisions as a nationwide rollout across prime US markets. While initially confirming a second charging location in Charlotte later this year, specific details regarding the total number of sites and the full timeline remained undisclosed. However, reports from the New York Times indicate that Bojangles plans to install 85 chargers by early 2027.

While definitive details remain under wraps, the PV7 is anticipated to integrate Hyundai's advanced Pleos software and infotainment system. Earlier concept reveals at the 2024 CES showcased the PV7's impressive dimensions, measuring 5,270 mm in length, 2,065 mm in width, and 2,120 mm in height, with a substantial wheelbase of 3,390 mm. This positions it considerably larger than the PV5 Passenger model.

Kia's Ambitious PBV Sales Targets and Future Electric Van Lineup

Looking ahead, Kia plans to follow the PV7's 2027 launch with the even larger PV9 in 2029. The company has set an ambitious goal to achieve 232,000 PBV sales by 2030, supported by its comprehensive electric van portfolio comprising the PV5, PV7, and PV9.
